One of Alpine Cashmere’s production partners is based in Como, Italy, a city renowned for many centuries for its textile prowess and ingenuity. This producer was founded in 1945 and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of printed, yarn-dyed, and jacquard fabrics. They are completely vertical, with in-house capabilities that start with the initial creative phase (including design and production planning) to fabric production (weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing).
The study, testing, and adoption of new production methods and technologies go hand-in-hand with the pursuit of beauty for every item they make. We are especially proud to work with our Italian partners, who like us, put the focus on small batches of finely made and exquisitely decorated scarves.
A Marriage of Two Noble Fibers
The cashmere and silk blend used in the Italian Grande Scarf Collection is a specialized fabric, typical to the small batches favored by Italian weavers and printers. This distinct blend is preferred so that the scarves take on the best qualities of both fibers. Silk creates a beautiful drape and adds luster while cashmere lends its famous softness and unique thermal properties to the garment.
